| Ways to see that a Forex Broker Review is not a fake one |
When traders hunt for a forex broker, they will find endless reviews on the internet. Not all those reviews are genuine. There are ways to distinguish the bad from the good. There are many sites that specialize in a forex broker review. There is lot of talk about brokers in the trading forums. Much of the information comes from actual experience of people that have used the services of a broker. But, some reviews may have some vested interests in promoting a particular broker. The hidden agenda of promoting a broker is fine as long as it is done in an honest and transparent way. How can you make out that a broker review is a fake? We can start by having a look at the website. If the website is officially forex news or an educative site which highlights a large list of forex broker reviews as a dominant presentation, it is advisable to go over those reviews with a pinch of salt. The motive of the website is to make money on its affiliates and not necessarily to provide updated news. So, there is a big question mark on the authenticity of the reviews. Another way of checking is by looking at the link. If you come across 'landing ID=3' or 'affiliate – fx site' at the end of the link that leads from the broker review page to the broker's site, it definitely represents a fixed affiliate link. This means that the reviewer gets paid for referring the clients to the broker. It may be legitimate to get paid for referrals but concealing the fact that the reviewer is getting paid for the service is not ethical and proper. For the owners of the site, it is their duty to mention a disclosure about this affiliation. This way, the readers are able to judge for themselves if the broker review could be genuine or not when they have an idea about the affiliated deal. If the website gives an option to you to add your own comments on the broker review, making it into your own mini-review type on the broker, it is a good sign of being open about it. You may take a shot at it and check if your comments are really appearing on the site or if they are being held back for approval on a permanent basis. In some cases, readers' comments are posted automatically and instantly but are later deleted when they do not appear convenient. Such sites may be open in their approach but they may be pretentious and not genuine. Sometimes, a forum member may post a reply with a recommendation about a forex broker even without an affiliate link. But it is possible that he may be associated with the broker. If he is an official representative of the broker, it is like an open and full disclosure and you will be able to judge him for yourself. If he is not, then it is better that you check out thoroughly on what he has written on the forum. He could be genuine if he is a regular participant on the forum, but if his main motive is to promote the same broker, then you do not have to take his word. You can always make out when a positive broker review is a fake when you will find the highest perfect rating being given all the time to a broker. It is impossible for any broker to be hundred per cent perfect. This is usually done to pep up the overall rating of the broker agency. If a broker review is very brief or totally vague in general, it is better to read such a broker review and let it pass. |
